- Use a meta-tag title, description, and key words on every web page.
- Use a different meta-tage title for each of your web pages.
- Use a different meta-description for each of your web your website pages.
- Use different meta-keywords for each of your pages.
- Your meta-tag title and description should inlcude your main keywords for that particular web page.
- Include key words that appear at least 4 to 5 times within the web page content.
- Avoid keyword overstuffing. You’re keyword should appear at least 4 to 5 times on a given page and not 2,000 times. When you overstuff your keywords search engines view this as spamming.
- Use more detailed key words. For example, if you sell houses don’t settle for Houses For Sale as your key word. There is simply to many sites using this keyword for there site making it near impossible for you to see immediate results. Try something more detailed like “Homes For Sales In Tampa, Fl”. By creating more specific keywords you’ll have better chances of increasing your sites position in the search engine rankings and gain traffic that is your specific targeted audience.
- Use image alt tags to describe your images and include the necessary keywords. For example, if you had a picture of yourself on your real estate website you might want to include the alt tag as follows: “Tampa’s Best Real Estate Agent.
